<p dir="ltr">In this episode of Women Business & Leadership, Missy MacKintosh of <a href="https://mismack.com/" target="_blank">MisMacK Clean Cosmetics</a> spoke with host Alexa Anderson to share her entrepreneurial journey and a peek at the future of her company. </p>
<p dir="ltr">After years of being a professional makeup artist and using her expertise to create “Canada's newest and most innovative clean makeup line on the market,” MacKintosh and her son have embarked on a new journey related to the cosmetics industry. </p>

<p dir="ltr">MacKintosh told Anderson that her son is a big fan of baseball and she would not let him put on eye black when playing due to the unknown toxins.</p>
<p dir="ltr">So, while at a baseball tournament and noticing the popularity of eye black, MacKintosh was given the idea to create a toxic-free product using her expertise in clean cosmetics. </p>
<p dir="ltr">MacKintosh immediately began planning how to do so and approached her son, asking him if he wanted to be her partner. </p>
<p dir="ltr">The duo worked together designing the logo, packaging and more until <a href="https://mismack.com/game-play-eye-black/" target="_blank">Game Play Eye Black</a> was launched this past April. </p>
<p dir="ltr">With the creation of the product marking many firsts for a cosmetics brand not only in Canada but the world, the duo is taking their eye black stick to national television. </p>
<p dir="ltr">MacKintosh and her son were accepted to pitch their product on Drangons’ Den and they will be doing so this week while also catching a Toronto Blue Jays game on their visit.</p>
<p dir="ltr">“Women and sports are not represented in the community of cosmetics, except for maybe a deodorant, so that's where we're coming in, and we're flipping this industry on a whole and we're going to be the ones representing the youth and the women in sports,” said MacKintosh. </p>
<p dir="ltr">She then hinted the latest product they are creating will be called the “Grit Kit” and it will be a small case filled with a few items, including their eye black. </p>
