Four BC residents are among the eight people hit with a total of 33 drug-related charges following a massive bust in Grande Praire, Alberta.
On Thursday, the Alberta Law Enforcement Response Team (ALERT) announced their investigation dubbed Project Incumbent has resulted in more than a quarter million dollars worth of drugs and cash being seized.
Three search warrants were issued at three homes in the northern Alberta city and police seized $264,740 worth of cash and drugs, including:
Only three of the eight suspects named in the bust have been arrested, with police still searching for five suspects at large and it’s believed they’ve left the Grande Prairie region.
Kevin Bey, 33, from Langley, BC, Taylor Edgren, 27, from Pitt Meadows BC and Jeffrey Kayser, 28, from Peterborough, Ont. have all been arrested.
Christine Emes, 29, from Langley BC, Joseph Poirier, 39, Preston Dougan, 24, from Calgary, Christopher Gilliat, 31, from Langley, BC and Matthew Hull, 30, from Duncan, BC are still at large.
