Attention all film lovers, the Okanagan Society of Independent Filmmaking (OSIF) is hosting their third annual IndieFest this Saturday, July 14.
The event will boast 28 films in total playing across two screens at the Kelowna Community Theatre ranging from music videos to short documentaries and short films.
Films will be showcased from 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. and will include the works of local creators like Aaron DeSilva, Ezra Cipes and many others. For the first time since the event’s inception, they will also share international film submissions.
“There are some incredible films at this year’s event including a short film starring Tommy Wiseau from “The Room” and “The Disaster Artist” fame as well as another with a musical score from famed composer Danny Elfman. We had amazing community support last year and we hope to see that continued support again this year,” said OSIF President Marc Nadeau.
Following the showcase, filmmakers will be invited back from 7 p.m. 11 p.m. for the awards gala, where they will have the chance to take home some hardware in categories like Best Cinematography, Best Special FX/ Makeup, Best Editing and many others.
Tickets for the all-ages event at available online with weekend passes available for $30!
