Former Barenaked Ladies member returning to the Okanagan

A member of Canadian rock royalty will visit the Okanagan next spring.

Following his recent induction to the Canadian Music Hall of Fame with his former band the Barenaked Ladies, Steven Page will perform at Lake Country’s Creekside Theatre on May 28th, 2019.

The singer-songwriter considers his new album Discipline: Heal Thyself, Pt. II, to be a strong political statement in response the current state of the world, which is a notable departure from the fun-loving nature of his former band’s music.

“I grew up in a household where social justice was a fundamental value, and I always believed that it was a fundamental Canadian value as well as a central Jewish one,” says Page.

“I’ve watched how the term has been twisted and perverted by the Right over the last several years in an effort to diminish the voices of reason.”

Tickets for the performance, which includes opening act Port Cities, go on sale this Friday, Sept. 14 at 10 a.m.

A $43 ticket includes fees, charges and the digital copy of Page's album.
