On Friday, Canadian hopeful, Patrick Chan, skated in the Men's Free Program, but unfortunately didn't have his best skate. Chan finished in ninth place.
Canada's men's hockey team lost their first match in the Preliminary Round to the Czech Republic in a shootout, leaving the final score, 3-2.

Earlier this morning, the Canadian men's curling team lost 2-5 to Sweden. However, the Canadian women's team managed to sweep their way to a victory with an 11-3 win against the USA.
In speed skating, Canada picked off a medal in both the men and women's category, with Samuel Girard earning a gold in the Men's 1000m short track finals and Kim Boutin now up to two medals - earning a bronze in the Women's 500m short track finals on Wednesday, and claiming her second bronze in the Women's 1500m short track finals earlier today.
Boutin and Girard kept their skates laced and competed again. Girard placed seventh in the Men's 1000m Semifinal and Boutin placed fourth in the Women's 1500m Semifinals. Girard's teammate, Charles Hamelin gave a worthy performance, skating to fifth place in the Men's 1000m Quarterfinal.
Canada's Marianne St Gelais took a fall on the Women's 1500m semifinals today, leaving her out of the competition.
The Women's Slopestyle finals took place today, and Canadian, Yuki Tsubota's run was looking good. However, partway through her run, she took an unfortunate crash
Tsubota wasn't able to recover enough points to podium, but still managed to earn a respectable sixth place.
The Men's Aerials Qualification round launched this morning. Canada's Olivier Rochon gave his best and hurled himself into sixth place in the qualifying round at the Phoenix Snow Park.
In the Women's Skeleton finals, Elisabeth Vathje was pleased with her top 10 finish.
Vathje gave Canada the fastest run of the day on Friday at 52.01 seconds. Today she finished in ninth place and her teammate, Mirela Rahneva placed 12th.
Overnight, Justin Kripps will hop into the Men's Bobsleigh competing in the 2-man and 4-man.
