Police received a tip about a sighting of the woman at a motel in Jasper, where she was found safe and unharmed.
(Original story: Nov. 25 @ 12:30 pm): Police across western Canada are on the lookout for a woman who went missing while travelling through the country.
According to Jasper RCMP, on Sunday, officers received a report that Heidi Morin never showed up to a previously arranged meeting with family In Maligne Lake, Alta. The 25-year-old had not been in contact with her family and her current whereabouts are unknown.
Through investigation, officers found that Morin was travelling from Quebec without a vehicle. It is believed that she may be in BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan or Manitoba.
Morin is described as a 5'6," 115-pound Caucasian woman with brown hair, green eyes, a backpack and tattoos. She was last seen leaving a business in Jasper on Nov. 16.
