(UPDATE: April 8 @ 6:40 pm) - A fire along Hwy 97, about 15 kilometres northwest of Cache Creek, is now considered "under control."
"The fire responded well to suppression efforts by the four BC Wildfire personnel who are currently on site," said the latest update from the BC Wildfire Service.
It only reached an estimated 0.2-hectares in size and no word has been given regarding a potential cause.
UPDATE: The wildfire located 5.2 kms N of the #BCHwy97 #BCHwy99 Junction (K20019), ~15 kms NW #CacheCreek, is now classified as Under Control and estimated at 0.2 has in size. The fire responded well to suppression efforts by the 4 #BCWildfire personnel who are currently on site.

It’s adjacent to Hwy 97.
The BC Wildfire Service is responding to a fire approximately 15 kms NW of #CacheCreek, adjacent to #BCHwy97. The wildfire is currently classified as Out of Control and four BC Wildfire Service personnel are responding. Further updates will be provided when crews arrive on site.
