VIDEO: 6 water bombers load up in unison on Okanagan Lake

The Okanagan is dealing with multiple wildfires throughout the region, one of which reached 1,000 hectares on Thursday night.

Thankfully, there are dozens and dozens of emergency workers fighting the fires from the ground and the air.

One of the resources battling these blazes from the air are air tankers, which have become a familiar sight for Okanagan residents during the summer.

It’s a far-from-easy job that these pilots make look effortless, as they spend hours going back and forth between the lake and the fire scene.

On Wednesday, Youtube user, Max M, captured some great footage of six water bomber pilots making it look especially easy.

The six pilots are working in unison, making a sharp turn over the lake and scooping up water as they head west towards the Mount Eneas and Goode's Creek wildfires.

“Crews are going full steam ahead to fight the fires ravaging Peachland and Kelowna,” wrote Max M in the video description. “This group of six float plane bombers has made at least 10 circuits so far and their organization together is a sight to behold.”

“We should be so lucky to have such competent crews working hard to keep people safe.”

Those crews will be right back at it this morning, as the Mount Eneas, Goode's Creek and other wildfires continue to be major concerns in the Okanagan.
