2025-06-14 11:00:00 2025-06-14 13:00:00 America/Vancouver NOHS Memorial Butterfly Release The North Okanagan Hospice Society Memorial Butterfly Release is hosted at Allan Brooks Nature Centre — a heartfelt event that brings our community together to honor and remember loved ones who have passed. This symbolic ceremony offers a moment of reflection, healing, and connection. Butterflies can be purchased in advance for release during the ceremony. If you are unable to attend, our team will release a butterfly on your behalf. Proceeds support the North Okanagan Hospice Society’s compassionate care and bereavement programs and our Hospice at Home program. We will also be introducing the first Wind Phone to Vernon. A wind phone is a way to connect with loved ones who have passed, allowing individuals to express their grief and feel a sense of continued connection. These phones are not connected to any network and serve as a place for individuals to express their thoughts, feelings, and unspoken words to their loved ones who have passed away.
