Meet Stella. Stella was born in Surrey but has lived in Kamloops since she was eight weeks old. Stella loves to go on adventures as well as kick it with her family.

Where are you from and how long have you lived in Kamloops?
Surrey for a year and a half. Since I was 8 weeks old I have been in Kamloops. I love it here! All my friends live here.
Who is your favourite person to spend time with and why?
My parents and my sister. I love my family and I love watching movies in bed with them. Either that or weekend walks. I also really enjoy going to doggy daycare - the lady who runs it is pawsome.
What is your favourite local store in Kamloops and why?
Bosley's - treats, yum.
Describe yourself in one word.
Goofball.
If you could go anywhere in the world right at this moment where would you go and why?
Disneyland because I want to meet Pluto.
What is your favourite activity in Kamloops?
Sniffing around in the mountains.
What is the most embarrassing thing that has happened to you?
I ate my pool in the summer and then tried to swim in it. I regret it.
What is the most inspiring thing that has happened to you?
Being rescued by my parents. They spoil my sister and I. We have gone on many adventures and we're very lucky.
Tell us your favourite childhood memory.
Well when I was a pup, my parents brought home a sister for me. At first, I didn't really like having to share my toys but then I got used to her. Now she bosses me around.
Where do you volunteer or give back to in the community?
I give back to the community by making my mom go buy treats and new balls from local stores. Supporting local is our favourite thing to do.
If you could change one thing in the world what would it be?
No homeless dogs. Food, water and shelter for all dogs and all animals in general. I think all animals should be taken care of and be provided with the best care.
Where would you sneak away to in Kamloops to spend some time alone?
The mountains in the surrounding area.
Where would you like to see positive change in Kamloops and why?
The NorthShore of Kamloops. More developments to attract more individuals with dogs so I can have more friends.
What do you think makes Kamloops great?
All the trails, the beautiful sunsets and the ability to take long walks on the beach and go swimming!
What are 3 things on your bucket list?
1. Travel around Canada with my parents
2. Become a famous dog model
3. To move out of town and have an acreage to run around on all day - I'm so full of energy.
Tell us something that not everyone may know about you.
I am a dog. A German Shepherd to be exact. I have big ears but I don't listen very well. :)
How do people connect with you, personally, through social media?
Through Instagram.
What is the name of your business/organization?
Smellythegermanshepherd.
Why did you get into/start this business?
Because my mom was obsessed with me and needed a place to put all my goofy photos.
What is the goal of your business?
To grow it and get more free treats. I also really enjoy making new furry friends. I hope to meet some of them one day.
What has been your biggest struggle either at work or in life?
Well deciding between playing with a stick or my orange ball is probably the hardest decision I've had to make.
What do you always find yourself saying?
"Woof Woof."
Tell us your best piece of life advice.
Always give the puppy dog eyes when you do something wrong.
If you could spend one whole day with anyone in the world who is currently alive, who would you select?
James Corden for sure. I think that my sister and I rock at karaoke. We sing all the time in the car, especially on our way to daycare and for a walk. We would want to partake in carpool karaoke.
Why do you think it is important to shop locally?
Because if we don't, then the treats would disappear. It's good to give back to the community and support local residents.

My name is Stella. My parents call me Smelly though because I hate having baths and I roll in stinky things. I love going to my doggy daycare, in fact, I sing the whole way there. I have a lot of friends and I love them a lot. I'm really clumsy, I love sticks, swimming in the summer and running in the mountains. My humans, sister and I love exploring.
