Razor found in youth’s Halloween candy reported by Ontario police

A fourth instance of Halloween candy being tampered with has been reported by Canadian police.

According to police in London, Ont., a youth found a razor blade in a small chocolate bar while trick-or-treating on Halloween night.

Thankfully, the youth wasn’t injured, but authorities are again reminding parents to inspect their child’s treats and contact police immediately if anything suspicious is found.

Police across Canada continue to report instances of Halloween candy tampered with dangerous objects.

RCMP in Burns Lake, BC, alerted parents after receiving a report of a needle found in a piece of Halloween candy following a parental inspection.

On Tuesday, police in Barrie, Ont., also alerted parents after a child allegedly bit into a chocolate bar only to discover a two-inch sewing needle embedded inside.

These reports follow a warning issued by Nova Scotia RCMP last week after cannabis edibles in Halloween themed packaging were discovered in a child’s candy.

Any reports of Halloween candy that has potentially tampered with should be reported to local police immediately.
