On March 16, Big White closed down for the 2019-20 season due to COVID-19.
It was a month earlier than the ski season was scheduled to end, and while it was a necessary closure that all mountain resorts made, it left many season pass holders disappointed.
Over the weekend, Big White president and CEO Peter Plimmer announced a little financial relief for those season pass holders who choose to renew their passes for the 2020-21 season.
Anyone who does so will get a 20% rebate on their season pass, which equates to around a $150 discount for adults, $110 for seniors and students, $95 for youth and $60 for children.
“We are proudly owned and operated by a Canadian family that lives and enjoys life in the Okanagan and we are aware of the impact that this pandemic has had on our passholders,” said Plimmer.
“We have been working tirelessly to ensure that our company is in position to again offer the best winter recreation product available while managing the impact of COVID-19 for all those that wish to join us at the resort this coming winter.”
Details on how to take advantage of this offer will be emailed to last year’s season pass holders, but you will need the code ‘Rebate2020’ and the WTP number from the back of your pass to do so.
