Safety warning issued for popular baby stroller because front wheel can detach while in use

Health Canada has issued a safety warning about a popular baby stroller.

BOB Jogging Strollers – which were sold between January 1, 1997 and September 30, 2015 – can endanger children.

If the stroller’s quick release is improperly engaged, the front wheel could detach.

The models affected are:

  • Revolution FLEX

  • Revolution PRO

  • Revolution SE

  • Revolution CE

  • Stroller Strides Fitness

  • Sport Utility

  • Ironman

About 37,905 of the products were sold by Britax Child Safety Inc in Canada.

They were made in China.

As of May 6, 2019 there have been 16 reports of front wheels detaching, with four adults receiving scratches and bruises as a consequence.

No children have yet been reported hurt.

Health Canada advises consumers to head to the BOB Gear Information Campaign website to view their online video on how to properly install the front wheel quick release.
