A design agency founded in Kelowna is celebrating once again after making it onto a list of the fastest-growing companies in BC for the third year in a row.
Csek Creative, which was founded in a family home in 1999, was ranked 23rd in the Top 100 list compiled by Business in Vancouver.
It comes as the firm, which recently spent $500,000 on a new print shop in Kelowna, plans an expansion in Kamloops this fall.
The agency – which also owns NowMedia and is in the process of launching NowProductions – is moving a team into a new building in downtown Kamloops in October.
“We celebrate 20 years of being a part of the Okanagan business community this year," said CEO Nikki Csek.
"From our humble beginnings in the family home, to multiple offices with a flagship office at the Landmark 6 tower in the centre of Kelowna.”
She added: “We serve over 1,200 clients in Western Canada, with a growing number throughout Canada and the United States.”
According to Business in Vancouver, the firm doubled its staff numbers between 2014 and 2018 – from 20 to 40.
It also saw a 344% increase in revenue.
Top of the list this year is recruitment firm Affinity, which is based in Vancouver.
It experienced revenue growth of 10,012.3% between 2014 and 2018.
Its staff numbers, however, remained at 10.
Partner and director of client services Rob Cupello, meanwhile, is excited about Csek Creative’s growth in Kamloops.
“Kamloops is my home, and I am thrilled to be able to bring what we have done in Kelowna to the Thompson-Nicola region,” he said.
Csek Creative is the parent company of NowMedia.
