Doctors in Canada are being warned to keep an eye out for scurvy in patients as more and more people suffer from food insecurity. A Canadian Medical Association Journal report highlighting the issue describes the case of a 65-year-old woman diagnosed with the disease, which is often associated with fruit-deprived sailors during the Age of Discovery.
