You may not know who Kat Callaghan is, but you have almost certainly heard her voice many times.
She’s a radio host on 91.5 FM “The Beat” in Kitchener, Ont., but that’s probably not the place you know her voice from.
You’ve likely heard her speak many times as the TikTok talk-to-speech (TTS) voice that's so commonly used on the popular social media platform.
It’s something her local listeners have suspected for quite some time, but she finally came out with a TikTok video of her own, her first ever, to make the big reveal.

“Finally I can tell you guys, it is me,” she said in a video posted on Oct. 19 that has amassed a whopping 27.9-million views in just a week.
She followed that up with another video four days later to answer some frequently asked questions and assure her new fans that she was not lying.
Of course, Callaghan fulfilled her most common request as well, by doing the TTS voice herself in the clip.

Needless to say, the radio host and voiceover artist has been thrust into the national spotlight over the past week.
She has quickly built up a following of 235,000 people on TikTok and that number will surely continue to grow as she gives people a behind-the-scenes look at the life of the TTS voice.
