You really can’t make this stuff up.
A drone photographer from the small community of Dildo, NL, has gone viral around the world for an iceberg he discovered last week.
Ken Pretty is no stranger to documenting and photographing icebergs around his home province, but he has never experienced a reaction like this one.
But given the shape of the iceberg and where he’s from, that should come as no surprise.
Pretty captured the now-famous iceberg with his drone on Thursday, April 27, and posted the photos to his personal Facebook page later that day.
The post has been shared thousands of times and Pretty has spent the past few days sharing news stories from around the world about his discovery.
That includes stories out of Australia, Taiwan, Thailand, the UK, the US and beyond.
Unfortunately, social media users report that the tip of the iceberg has since fallen off and Pretty’s 15 minutes of fame appear to be winding down.
But there’s no chance he’ll ever forget the week he broke the internet.
