Interior Health says the closure has been extended until 8 am Sunday.
(Original story: DEc. 27 @ 7:30 am) - The temporary closures of BC Interior emergency departments continue on the final weekend of 2025.
Interior Health has announced that both the South Okanagan General Hospital and 100 Mile District General Hospital will be without emergency care at points today.
In Oliver, the SOGH emergency department closure began at 5 am and will last until 1:30 pm. Patients are told to drive to Penticton for care.
In 100 Mile House, emergency services halted at 7 am and will be unavailable until 8 pm. Patients are told to drive to Williams Lake for care.
All other inpatient services are available at both hospitals.
