(Original story: April 22 at 4:30 pm): RCMP in Williams Lake are asking for the public’s help in locating a missing man who has not been seen early Monday morning.
A new release from the Williams Lake RCMP says they have been notified that Tony Ayres, 82, has not been seen since about 10:30 am on Monday, April 22.
“Tony was last seen at his residence on Wildwood Road. Tony may have wandered into the wooded area around his home,” says the release.
“He has medical issues that may prevent him from returning home safely. Search and Rescue (SAR), RCMP Air Services and Police Dog Service (PDS) are actively looking for him.”
Ayres is described as
Caucasian male
82 years old
5’ 7”
Medium build
White hair
Blue eyes
Clean shaven
Last seen wearing grey cargo pants and a dark grey sweater
The Mounties say that if anyone sees Tony they are asked to stay with him if they can and call the police immediately.
“He may be confused and not know where he is,” says the release.
