Not only was Space Jam 2 finally confirmed on Wednesday, but it was also revealed who will produce and direct the highly anticipated movie.
Ryan Coogler, who directed the record-breaking Black Panther, is teaming up with James to produce the sequel.
Meanwhile, Terence Nance, who created HBO’s Random Acts of Flyness, will direct.

Apart from that, details were scarce about the movie, but The Hollywood Reporter’s exclusive report said that production will likely begin next summer during the NBA off-season.
That didn’t stop excited fans from starting to speculate on the film’s plot and whether it would mirror the storyline of the original.
“The Warriors will play the Monstars,” tweeted one person, to which another responded, “The Warriors are the Monstars.”
