The Who are hitting the road and they’ll be doing so with a new album in their back pocket.
Later this year, Roger Daltrey and Pete Townsend will embark on the Moving On! Tour, a 29-date North American journey that will take place over two legs.
The summer stretch will begin on May 7 and wrap up on June 1, while the fall portion of the tour runs from Sept. 6 to Oct. 23.
That includes a Vancouver show on Monday, Oct. 21 at Rogers Arena.

While the band will certainly play their biggest hits, they’ll also be showcasing a new album, their first since Endless Wire was released in 2006.
The new album was a necessary one for the band to go on the road, as Townsend said that a tour wasn’t going to happen without the band putting out new music.
Not only will there be new songs, but the band will also be working in a new feature to their set.
The Who will be joined on stage by a local symphony orchestra each night.

“Be aware Who fans! Just because it’s The Who with an orchestra, in no way will it compromise the way Pete and I deliver our music," explained Daltrey. "This will be full throttle Who with horns and bells on.”
It’s an idea that came to Daltrey after he spent the summer of 2018 playing Tommy with symphonies.
While the pair hasn’t guaranteed anything, Daltrey told Rolling Stone “this will possibly be my last tour” and they’ll surely want to go out with a bang if that's the case.
Tickets for the tour will go on sale to the general public on Friday, Jan. 18.
