It’s the brewery circle of life.
At the end of 2025, Moody Ales & Co announced the closure of their taproom on Port Moody’s Brewers Row. Moody Ales beer is still being produced for sale in liquor stores though!
While it’s always sad to see a BC brewery shut its doors, there was exciting news revealed this week about the future of the space vacated by Moody Ales.
North Point Brewing Co is expanding! The North Vancouver brewery is set to open a second tasting room where Moody Ales used to call home.
“We can’t wait to welcome you to our new Port Moody home,” a social media post from the brewery said.
The space will get a full transformation and renovations are expected to happen over the next few months ahead of a hopeful summer 2026 opening.
“Expect cabin-chic vibes, warm wood tones, cozy seating, couches and even a fireplace – inspired by long weekends on the Gulf Islands,” the post explains.
The new addition to Brewers Row will be exciting for any craft beer lover visiting Port Moody, but a second location will hopefully mean an expanded presence for North Point in liquor stores around BC.
I’ll admit that I wasn’t overly familiar with the brewery until I saw this news pop up on my feed this week, but I’ll certainly be keeping an eye out for North Point beers on the shelves going forward.

Taking a look at their website, here’s what you can expect from their core beer lineup:
