Beer column: You can get all the tastes of the holiday season with this 4-pack

The holiday season is one of the best times of year for craft beer lovers who like to try new things.

Along with all your typical winter seasonals, a lot of breweries also like to dabble in holiday-inspired creations.

Whether it’s an advent calendar (like I featured two weeks ago), a creative mixed pack (like I featured last week) or even an individual beer, it’s fun to see what breweries come up with.

Well, I’m going right back to that well this week because one of British Columbia’s more creative breweries has dropped a very unique and exciting quartet of festive creations.

Unlike most standard four packs, the holiday mixed pack from Moody Ales & Co in Port Moody offers four different beers, which is perfect if you want to try new things.

It’s not just four IPAs or four lagers either, as the mixer has a nice variety of beers for your palette.

Here are the four beers you'll be able to get for under $20:

• Eggnog Cream Ale (8% ABV): Decadent holiday ale with lactose, vanilla and nutmeg.
• Gingerbread Ale (5.5% ABV): Festive amber ale with warm, sweet spice.
• Christmas Tree IPA (6% ABV): West Coast IPA with spruce tips and juniper berries.
• Holiday Party Punch Sour (7% ABV): Garnet fruit sour with cranberry, plum and citrus.

A great part about this holiday-inspired mixed pack from Moody Ales & Co is that it’s in stock at most BC Liquor Stores across the province.
