Kamloops residents are gearing up for another Coldest Night of the Year walk this Saturday.
The event, which starts at the Outreach Centre on Victoria Street, helps raise money for the Mustard Seed New Life Community in hopes to build, help, and support change in the city.
As of February 21st, 107 walkers, 27 teams and 32 volunteers have signed up to take part. A total of $18,306 has been raised, almost halfway to the organization's goal of $42,000.
Coldest Night of the Year starts at 4 p.m. with registration, is followed by the opening ceremonies at 5 p.m., and then the walk commences at 5:15 p.m. Participants will have the choice to do the 2km, 5km, or 10km walk.
