Today marks four years since 18-year-old Jagraj Dhinsa was found dead in a rural Kamloops parking lot.
The Sa-Hali Secondary student’s body was found in the Tk’emlúps Health Clinic parking lot on Chilcotin Road on Jan. 29, 2022.
At the time, the first-arriving officers reported Dhinsa "had suffered obvious injuries," but the teen's cause of death has not been publicly released.
Evidence found at the scene linked Dhinsa to a black 2014 Honda Accord that was found around 20 kilometres away on Dallas Drive at Lafarge Road.
The Southeast District Major Crime Unit (SED MCU) quickly took over the probe and police went public with his identity five days after his body was found.
Investigators are now using the four-year anniversary of Dhinsa’s death to appeal for additional information.

S/Sgt. Jason Smart called the homicide a “senseless act of violence” and said the investigation remains a priority for his unit.
It is important to the police, the administration of justice and for the public at large, that the person or persons responsible for this death be held accountable,” the SED MCU commander explained.
“Solving this homicide is also of critical importance for Mr. Dhinsa’s family to have closure.”
Investigators are urging anyone who has information on Dhinsa’s death, including those who had dealings with him or knowledge of his activities in January 2022, to contact the SED MCU tip line at 1-877-987-8477.
