The Kamloops Symphony is searching for a temporary venue to perform at after Sagebrush Theatre announced it would be closed for urgent safety repairs last week.
Kathy Humphreys, Executive Director of the Kamloops Symphony, explained the search is the top priority for the group.
“Because of the large number of participants we must accommodate, our challenges in finding a suitable alternative venue
are unique," said Humphreys. "There are essentially no venues that meet all of the needs for our performers, our audience, and the technical requirements of a full symphony orchestra.”
Single tickets for all shows put on by the symphony will temporarily be suspended until a new venue is established. Tickets for the two remaining chamber music concerts will be unaffected as these performances take place at Rex Hall.
