Kamloops resident Dianne K. says she’ll owe no more money to the bank after winning $500,000 playing the Extra on Lotto 6/49 for the Sept. 19 draw.
Dianne was eating breakfast when she discovered her life-changing win on her phone and was blown away by the number of zeroes.
“I was shaking after seeing the amount,” she explained. “I never did finish my breakfast.”
The first person she shared her news with was her 91-year-old father, who Dianne says was excited for her.
She plans to use the prize money to pay off the remaining balance on her house and says she’ll be mortgage-free for the first time in her life.
