(UDPATE: Aug. 6 @ 2:23 pm) – On Friday, the Lillooet RCMP confirmed that a missing 64-year-old man has been located "safe and sound."
The man had been reported missing on Wednesday, Aug. 3.
Mounties thanked the public for their assistance.
(Original Story: Aug. 4 @ 11:40 am) – Mounties have asked for the public’s help to find a missing man.
Police believe Akinori Iwabuchi, 64, is heading to the Kamloops area.
He was reported missing on Aug. 3.
Police said Iwabuchi is believed to have been in a grey 2007 Hummer 3 with the BC plate “581 WWG.”
They provided the following physical description of the man:
Asian
6 ft
200 lbs
Police said Iwabuchi’s family is concerned about his well-being.
Anyone with information relating to his whereabouts is asked to call their local police immediately.
