Two people are now dead following a suspicious death in Edmonton over the weekend.
According to Edmonton Police Services, at approximately 5 am on Saturday, officers attended a residence in the area of Mullen Road and Mullen Place where they located a deceased woman. EPS then issued a release to the public, asking for help locating a vehicle of interest believed to be associated with the woman's death.
On Saturday evening, Sicamous RCMP located a 2019 Toyota Tacoma, the same vehicle sought by EPS. A 39-year-old suspect, who was believed to be driving the car, was found dead a short distance away from the vehicle.
At this point, the BC Coroners Service is conducting an autopsy of the man. An autopsy for the woman is scheduled this Tuesday.
EPS' Homicide Section is not looking for any additional suspects, though police are still investigating. Anyone with information on this incident is urged to call EPS at 1-780-423-4567.
