If you’re in need of legal advice but don’t have the money to consult a lawyer, you’ll want to get down to City Park today.
From 10 am until 2 pm, a group of lawyers will be offering their services to low-income Kelowna residents free of charge.
The event, called Pro Bono Going Public, will offer up advice in all areas of law.
Lawyers who have volunteered their time will work in one-hour shifts throughout the day, set up in tents at the Rose Garden in City Park (the entrance to the park at the intersection of Abbott and Leon).
It’s the 12th year that this event has taken place and it hopes to raise awareness regarding access to justice issues in British Columbia.
