Iconic Canadian singer-songwriter Sarah McLachlan will be hitting the road later this year.
The Grammy and Juno winning artist announced the Fumbling Towards Ecstasy 30th anniversary tour this morning, which begins in British Columbia in October.
It will kick off with a show in Victoria and stop number two on the tour is at Prospera Place in Kelowna on Friday, Oct. 17.
The tour is named for her highly-acclaimed third studio album, Fumbling Towards Ecstasy, which was released in October 1993 and topped the charts in Canada.
It went certified platinum in a matter of weeks on the back of hit singles like “Possession,” “Hold On,” “Ice Cream” and “Good Enough.”
The tour will see McLachlan playing the beloved album in its entirety along with some of her most celebrated songs from the 57-year-old’s decorated career.
“This tour is a real walk down memory lane as Fumbling is a very special record for me,” she said. “I’m hoping that the songs will bring back a lot of good memories for everybody.”
McLachlan was meant to hit the road in 2024, but was forced to postpone the dates due to health issues.
“I’m really excited to bring the tour across Canada. It was so disappointing to have to cancel the 2024 tour due to my vocal health, and I’m grateful that we were able to reschedule,” she added.
“I’m fully recovered and recharged and can’t wait to share the Fumbling Towards Ecstasy 30th anniversary tour with my home country, and maybe a few new songs as well.”
Tickets will go on sale to the general public through Live Nation at 10 am on Friday, April 25, with presales available 48 hours before that.
Each ticket sold will result in a $1 donation to the not-for-profit Sarah McLachlan School of Music, which provides high-quality music education and mentorship to children and youth facing barriers to access.
