UPDATE: Missing woman in Nanaimo located safe and sound

(Update: Aug. 9, 2022): Police have confirmed that a 66-year-old woman has been located safe and sound after being reported missing yesterday morning.

Search and rescue are conducting ground searches after a woman with significant medical issues has gone missing.

The woman was reported missing at about 11 am today after she wandered off from the parking lot of the Departure Bay Ferry terminal.

Celine Campton, age 66, was waiting to board the 10:05 am sailing to Vancouver with her husband when she disappeared.

An extensive search of the immediate area proved negative. NSAR has been called in and is staging in the area.

Campton is a Caucasian woman, 5. ft.8. 120 lbs. The picture provided is from CCTV cameras located at the ferry landing and accurately shows what she was last seen wearing.
