4 Lower Mainland residents arrested after drug raids at Kelowna and Vernon homes

Four people were arrested and both drugs and cash were seized as Okanagan Mounties executed a pair of search warrants related to a drug-trafficking investigation last week.

The raids happened simultaneously at residences on Panorama Lane in Kelowna and Monashee Road in Vernon, shortly before 7 am on Thursday, July 18.

They were led by the Kelowna RCMP and Vernon RCMP, with support from Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit of British Columbia and the RCMP’s Southeast District Emergency Response Team.

“The combined efforts and collaboration of the different units involved made the investigation a success,” said Sgt. Dave Evans from the Vernon RCMP’s Targeted Enforcement Unit.

According to police, a “large quantity” of cash, prescription drugs and suspected fentanyl, cocaine and methamphetamine were seized.

Three men and a woman, all from the Lower Mainland, were arrested. They have since been released pending further investigation and charge submission, the RCMP noted.
