Looking for some places to get your fall on in the Okanagan?
It's cozy sweater season, and you’ll be able to wear your fave cable knit or cardigan to a local pumpkin patch or corn maze.
Here are some great options to check out while Autumn is still here!
Bilga Farms in Kelowna is a well-known and quaint spot to pick up a pumpkin. Located off Rutland Road, they have a nice selection of pumpkins. You may have already visited them this year for their juicy red strawberries, but you won’t be disappointed in their fall harvest! Reasonable prices and wide variety makes Bilga a great place to find the perfect pumpkin to carve.
This western style village in Vernon is putting on another month of seasonal activities that you won’t want to miss.
Starting today, they’ll be running their family pumpkin tours. You can take a ride out to the pumpkin patch on the Johnny Popper Orchard Train and pick your very own Jack-O-Lantern. Pumpkin rides are weather dependent and run every weekend of October.
Whether you're selecting the perfect pumpkin, meeting some barnyard animals, eating the harvest treats, or visiting the Pumpkin Princess at her castle, there’s plenty to cross off your fall bucket list!
The Historic O’Keefe Ranch in Vernon is back next week with their Family Daze in the Corn Maze.
Taking place on October weekends from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., you can take the family for a day of fall fun. The ranch says that a brand new maze will be open this year that guaranteed to entertain with plenty of twists and turns and spooks at every corner.
Children can run through the maze, enjoy a pony or tractor ride, or get creative with a fun art activity. And, if you get hungry there will be lots of snacks available at the food trucks.
Admission is $10 per person, or $30 for a family of up to five people (two adults and three school-aged children).
Macmillan Farms is open for another season of fall fun. You can select the perfect pumpkin for carving this Halloween season, or take a turn through their three-acre corn maze.
You can also take a hayride, or launch gourds with their slingshot. The farm has plenty to keep you and your crew entertained with a long list of family-friendly activities and photo ops for your Insta feed!
Just off Valley Road in Glenmore, you can find the Kelowna Corn Maze!
Three acres in size and filled with dead ends, loop-de-loops, and spookiness, this maze is a great way to get you ready for Halloween.
