Live music, midway rides, rodeo events and food trucks.
What more could you really ask for on a September long weekend?
The Interior Provincial Exhibition and Stampede, or the IPE, returns to Armstrong this week after a long two-year pause due to COVID-19.
In its 121-year history, the event has only been cancelled three times, which makes its return this summer that more special and one you certainly don’t want to miss.
In 2022, the fair will once again boast everything from adorable barnyard animals to new thrilling rides and signature rodeo events, all in one inclusive and inviting space.
From Aug. 31 to Sept. 4, you can snag tickets to walk the midway and take in the family-friendly activities happening through the weekend.
Other entertainment includes the Western Farrier and Blacksmith Demo, the West Coast Lumberjack shows, Mini Chuckwagon Racing and the Canadian Professional Bull Riding Tour will also be closing out the final day.
As for music, the IPE will keep you moving and grooving throughout the day with performances from Apaloosa, Dirt Road Kings, Rocking Horse, July Crowd, Hat Trick Band and JS Garcia Band to name a few.
Of course, it wouldn’t be the IPE without the famous parade tradition, which will be wowing spectators on Saturday starting at 10 am.
Community members are eagerly awaiting to hit the midway and you can still grab your tickets to the IPE here.
