(UPDATE: June 27 @ 1:35 pm) - Police say they have recovered a stolen Subaru tied to an ongoing investigation.
The RCMP notes that the car was located thanks to information received from the public.
"We really appreciate and want to thank the public and our media partners for their help," said Cst. Chris Terleski.
No further information was provided on the investigation or criminal activity the stolen vehicle was connected to.
(Original story: June 17 @ 10:50 am) - The North Okanagan RCMP is hoping the public can help track down a specific vehicle.
According to police, the blue 2018 Subaru Outback in question was stolen from a residence on 33rd Street in Vernon during the early morning hours of Wednesday, June 5.
It’s involved in an ongoing investigation, an RCMP release noted, as it’s connected to some recent criminal activity in the Vernon area.
“We’re asking the public to keep an eye out for the vehicle in the pictures,” said Cst. Chris Terleski. “It may still be driving around but there’s a very good chance it has been parked or left abandoned somewhere.”
Anyone who sees the vehicle or has information on its whereabouts is urged to contact the North Okanagan RCMP at 250-545-7171 and quote file 2025-8815.
