The Penticton Search and Rescue (PENSAR) team was tasked with assisting with an incident in Summerland yesterday.
According to PENSAR, they were called out at around 12 pm after a 51-year-old man suffered upper body injuries from an ATV accident north of Summerland.
The team had to utilize their helicopter long line rescue unit to evacuate the man due to the accessibility of the area and the nature of his injuries.
The Summerland resident was then airlifted to Kelowna General Hospital by BCEHS helicopter.
PENSAR did not comment of the man’s current condition.
