Work kicked off today on a Lake-to-Lake bike route that will span through Penticton from Okanagan Lake to Skaha Lake.
Crews have begun initial preparation work at Lakeshore Drive and Martin Street and more activity is expected to ramp up starting Monday.
“City staff, along with our hired contractor, Grizzly Excavating Superintendent Pat Neil, are looking forward to getting this project underway,” said Ian Chapman, the City’s Engineer, Ian Chapman.

While construction is underway, notable impacts from road works will be centred on the following intersection locations:
In addition, fresh line markings and Dezignline barriers will be installed in early June.
