The Penticton RCMP report that they've taken down a drug trafficking operation in the community, while also reunited some stolen property with the rightful owners.
Over the past two weeks, officers with the Street Enforcement Unit (SEU) conducted an investigation into the suspected operation.
The investigation focused on a residence located on Lakeside Road.
On Jan. 15, 2020, officers from SEU, along with assistance from the Targeted Enforcement Unit (TEU) and frontline officers, executed a search warrant under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA).
Officers arrested two men and two women inside the residence. During the search, officers seized a stolen shotgun and a .22 rifle, in addition to a large amount of suspected methamphetamine, cocaine, heroin and fentanyl.
A stolen Miele coffee machine which had been taken from a nearby property was also recovered.
Numerous charges against those arrested will be forwarded to the BC Prosecution Service.
“All officers within the South Okanagan remain proactive in efforts to prevent illegal drugs and dangerous weapons from being on our streets,” says Cst. James Grandy.
