Last year, a big crowd of citizens gathered to remember and honour our veterans, and this year shouldn’t be any different.
This Monday is Remembrance Day, and we’ve got a guide to ceremonies taking place across the valley.
In Penticton, the service will begin promptly at 10:30 am at the Penticton Trade and Convention Centre. People are expected to be seated by 10:15 am, and doors open at 9:30 am.
Prior to the ceremonies, veterans will march from the Penticton Curling Club to the convention centre at 10 am.
The ceremony goes until 11:30 am, which is not a lot of time to spend honouring those who went to war for us – so mark it on your calendar and make sure to pick up a poppy to say your thanks.
This Remembrance Day marks 101 years since the First World War.
