The Weather Network predicted early snow for British Columbia this winter, but most parts of the province have yet to see it.
Maybe the snow decided it would have more fun in Ontario, because that’s where up to 15 centimetres of it fell overnight.
Residents in many parts of Southern Ontario, like Hamilton, Kitchener and even parts of Toronto, woke up to a winter wonderland on Friday.
Running late this morning? Don’t feel like clearing #snow off your vehicle? Well, it could cost you. Driver of this vehicle received a $110 fine for Obstructed View. Make sure you can see & be seen by other motorists. It’s about your #safety & the safety of all road users. pic.twitter.com/J6lMpEfjR1

It seemed to catch many off guard, including one driver in Waterloo who was ticketed for only clearing a small bit of snow off their vehicle.
Maybe they were late for work and didn’t have time to scrape more, but that didn’t fly with Waterloo Regional Police, who tweeted about the incident.
Apart from scraping off cars, amateur photographers had a field day with the first significant snowfall of the year.
Here are some of our favourites that have surfaced on Twitter this morning.
