PHOTOS: 'Weather bomb' leaves Maritimes covered in ice and snow

Residents living in the Maritimes were hit with a massive "weather bomb" on Friday night that left much of the land frozen.

Those in Prince Edward Island and Nova Scotia documented the intense storm with pictures and videos that you had to see to believe.

The Weather Network reported soaking rains, heavy snow, blizzard conditions, ice and strong winds. Thousands were left without power following the event.

This was the second bomb cyclone Atlantic Canada received in the span of seven days. It now sets its sights on Newfoundland.

"Conditions will improve through the day as the weather bomb then sets its eyes on Newfoundland with similar impacts, but throw in heavy rainfall, as well, as the island remains on the warmer side of the storm," wrote the Weather Network.

For everyone out east, stay safe!
