Two Prince George residents and their collection of pets were rescued from a fire early this morning.
Firefighters were called to 4413 1st Avenue at about 1:30 am.
Flames were seen at the front of the home, extending to the interior.
“Fire crews acted quickly, extinguishing the blaze,” Prince George Fire Rescue Assistant Chief Glen Nowoczin explained.
“Family pets consisting of a dog, cat, kittens and a bunny were all rescued from the residence.”
Nobody was injured during the operation.
But damage to the home is estimated to cost about $25,000 to repair.
