Woman, 50, arrested at PG restaurant after reportedly threatening staff with needles

A “drug-induced” woman was arrested at a restaurant in Prince George yesterday following reports that someone was threatening staff with needles.

The call came in at about 1:30 pm from a restaurant on 20th Avenue and Victoria Street – believed to be McDonald’s.

Police said numerous officers attended immediately.

A 50-year-old woman from Prince George was soon arrested without incident.

“She was found to be in possession of stolen cheques and was breaching the conditions of a release order from a previous incident,” the RCMP said.

“The female was believed to be intoxicated by drugs and was heavily agitated before and during contact with police.”

She was held by police overnight and is awaiting charges.
