“Conservation officers immediately responded and patrolled the area,” said the BCCOS. “No coyote was found but conservation officers remain on scene as these patrols continue.”

The public is asked to stay away from the area at this time, but the BCCOS also urges anyone who uses Stanley Park to take precautions in case they encounter an aggressive coyote.

The BCCOS advises everyone to familiarize themselves with safety tips available online.

Coyote attacks in Stanley Park have been an ongoing issue in 2021 with multiple attacks being reported over the past 4 months.
