A driver whose vehicle crashed into icy water in the BC Interior has been found dead.
The vehicle went over an embankment at Hat Creek, west of Cache Creek.
Mounties responded to the incident and requested help from Kamloops Search and Rescue at about 10:30 am.

Eleven rescuers were sent to the scene, including rope rescue and ice rescue teams.
KSAR said the driver was then found and “confirmed deceased.”
The group explained in a bulletin: “The vehicle was secured and subsequently winched out of the creek and back up to the highway.”
The driver, who has not been identified, was turned over to the BC Coroners Service.
