Police in British Columbia have asked members of the public to come forward after a teacher was charged with sexually exploiting students.
Marnie Burnham, 36, also known as Marnie Forin, was arrested on February 15, 2024.
Saanich Police Department said the Greater Victoria School District teacher has since been charged with three counts of sexual exploitation and two counts of luring a child aged under 18.
Police said one victim was initially identified but more have since come forward.
Officers said anyone under 18 that had contact “of a sexual nature” with Burnham should email [email protected].
Burnham is now awaiting trial, but has been released on bail.
Her conditions include staying away from her alleged victims, school property and anyone aged under 18.
“We want to thank those who have come forward for their bravery,” police said.
“Our investigators believe there may be more who have yet to do so.”
In its bulletin, the department added: “To those who have been affected by the alleged actions of Marnie Burnham/Forin, there are supportive resources available which include the Greater Victoria Police Victim Services and the Men’s Therapy Centre.”
