A Merritt resident is now in custody for allegedly sexually interfering with children at a local RV Park over the August long weekend.
According to a press release, officers received a report that an intoxicated man had touched several kids inappropriately at the Claybanks RV Park.
An officer spoke with the children, who confirmed the description of the 24-year-old man provided by the complainant.
Police then located the suspect nearby and arrested him without incident.

He is currently bound by previous court imposed release conditions, which include having no contact or communication with anyone under the age of 16.
Mcleod is currently in custody and is expected to appear in court, Aug. 6, in Kamloops.
Anyone with information that have not yet spoken to police are urged to call the Merritt RCMP at 250-378-4262.
