A highway crash that drew plenty of attention in the fall remains under investigation.
In a release issued today, the BC Highway Patrol (BCHP) confirmed that the probe into a widely-publicized tractor rollover on Hwy 1 near Surrey is ongoing.
The incident involving a tractor that was part of protests against sexual orientation and gender identity programs (SOGI 123) in schools happened in the early afternoon on Nov. 25.

"Officers had reportedly attempted to pull the tractor over for an extended period while it was part of a convoy that was heading to Vancouver," the RCMP explained at the time.
"During the interaction, the tractor and police vehicle collided, the tractor inverted, and came to a rest on its side, resulting in the driver suffering non-life-threatening injuries.”
Social media footage of the highway chase showed the tractor flying a black banner that said “Stop SOGI 123.”
The BCHP continues to canvas for witnesses and relevant dash cam footage that can offer any insight into the tractor’s driving behaviour before the collision, as well as footage from after the crash.
Any witnesses who have yet to speak to police are urged to contact the BCHP by email ([email protected]) or phone (778-290-5761).
Last week, the Independent Investigations Office of BC cleared police officers of any wrongdoing during the incident.
