(UPDATE: June 19 @ 3:15 pm) - It didn't take long for the new owners of Steve Nash Fitness World to rebrand the company.
Just three days after the gym chain was purchased my a group of investors, it's been announced that it will now be called just Fitness World.
Most locations will begin to reopen in the coming weeks.
"Canadian-owned and operated, Fitness World will be committed to cultivating an exceptional experience, anchored by access to comfortable and safe spaces," said a release from Fitness World.
"The company aims to reopen select locations in the first week of July, with full access to the workout floors, group fitness, and small group training sessions."
CEO Chris Smith expressed excitement about bringing members back into their gyms, although the release hinted at the potential of permanent closures as well.
If any locations don't reopen, Fitness World has pledged to donate the equipment to communities in need.
